How I Overcame Procrastination

Procrastination is the most common obstacle preventing us from moving forward. Here are my success story of overcoming it and you too can do it!

Can Your Definitions Define Who You Are?

Words, and the meanings we assign them, have power. Definitions give meaning to life. Words will continue to define you unless you take the time to define them. So, if your life lacks meaning, maybe it’s because you’ve neglected to define what your life means. If you accept without question, any definition, belief, or perception handed to you, then you limit your life to the truths and beliefs discovered by other people. You kill the one thing that is uniquely your own-your perspective…

Two Sides Of The Same Coin

My favorite most recent additions to my coaching club are the one-on-one calls students. The subjects-which are decided on by the member-vary from advanced persuasion techniques for persuading the affluent to the deeply personal and they give members an opportunity to really focus in on particular struggles, blockages, or even spots where they feel they need to move at a more accelerated pace than the group.

Develop the habit of taking action by using this 5 day plan. It will help reverse the negative consequences gained by putting action off. You will begin to see how easy it is to create the ‘do it now’ mindset.

Overcoming Buffaloes At Work & In Life

How to increase productivity and overcome the challenges in the workplace. Offshore sourcing or jobs made obsolete by bad economy, declining product prices, war uncertainty, and competition with international businesses that are subsidized by their governments. It seems like both employers and employees can no longer accurately anticipate these changes before they occur. Such unexpected changes could be compared to the appearance of water buffaloes in an African village. Buffaloes invaded villages without warning, devastating social structures, uprooting the harmonious livelihood of villagers and left them feeling insecure and stressed out. This is a confounding situation. Bad for employers because employees optimal performance requires secure job environment and stress related illnesses may lead to increased absenteeism. Employees, on the other hand, need great performance to be marketable and keep their organization profitable. What can be done to overcome these “social Buffaloes” in the workplace? Organizations, private or public, won’t revert to the old womb-to-tomb job security. Job availability and longevity will continue to be dictated by factors beyond the workers and even employer’s control. The resume that got you where you are probably won’t keep you there beyond the foreseeable future.

Motivation For Weight Loss That Feeds The Soul and Keeps the Weight Dropping Off

Weight Loss Motivation can so easily be destroyed by the negativity that dominates a dieters mindset. Like a drug, the first ‘fix’ of negativity has us looking for more and more negativity. We become trapped until we make the choice to seek a way out. For a long time I struggled to get out of these traps by doing something self-loving that was not linked to food. This was a good first step but it was still hard to make the changes in my habits.

How to Thrive in the Workplace Jungle

It has been said, “Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will die. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn’t matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle; when the sun comes up, you’d better be running.”

You Can Have It All!

There is one thing about drinking and using drugs which you have probably not thought of before. The fact is, they put an amazing degree of limitations on a person. If you are like most of us, you are not having a positive reaction to that fact after all, who wants limitations, and wouldn’t it be much better to be able to have it all?

How to Discover Your True Passion in Life

Given a choice between living one’s life fully and being driven by circumstances, the former would be a better way to live life. Yet, this is not easily accomplished. For some reasons, some people never learn what their passions are until it is too late.

Procrastination – The Banana Peel Of Self Improvement!

I think that most of us at some time during our life have been guilty of procrastination. Now for a majority of us, it really wasn’t procrastination at all. No of course not!

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs – Understanding Why We Lose Our Motivation

What motivates us? We should probably recognize that human beings do have some extremely basic motivations in common. All humans are primarily motivated by what psychologist Abraham Maslow calls the hierarchy of needs. The first need on the hierarchy is survival. People will do nearly anything to survive.

Four Personality Types and How to Motivate Them

Did you know that some horses will follow you for a carrot, while other horses won’t budge unless you whack them with a stick? Well, people are also motivated by either carrots, or sticks. Some people move towards goals. Other people move away from consequences. Psychologists have identified four distinct personality types: Sanguine, Phlegmatic, Melancholic and Choleric.
